Just four teams remain vying for the championship ahead of one of the best events in college hockey: the 2024 Women’s Frozen Four.
The top four seeds — No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Wisconsin, No. 3 Colgate and No. 4 Clarkson — are still standing, each having dispatched their opponents in the regional round.
Perhaps the Buckeyes and Badgers are on a collision course for a rematch of last year’s championship game, in which No. 6 Wisconsin upended No. 1 Ohio State, 1-0, to capture the title.
But Colgate, which will battle Wisconsin, and Clarkson, which will play Ohio State, are stiff tests standing in the way. The two semifinal matchups are slated for Friday, with the championship match to follow two nights later, on Sunday.
Colgate is the only one of the four still eyeing its first women’s ice hockey championship.
