Where to watch Luton vs Man City live stream, TV channel, lineups, prediction for Premier League match

Manchester City dropped down to fourth in the Premier League after Wednesday’s chastening 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa.

Pep Guardiola’s suspension and injury-hit side were comprehensively outplayed by Unai Emery’s men and are now falling well behind leaders Arsenal.

If the reigning champions fail to win at Kenilworth Road it will represent their worst top-flight run since Mark Hughes’ tenure in 2009.

Luton were pegged back to a last-gasp draw against Liverpool in November and Arsenal needed a stoppage-time winner to prevail 4-3 against them in midweek. Despite dropping back into the relegation zone after Everton’s win over Newcastle, Rob Edwards’ side have every right to fancy their chances against Guardiola’s off-colour team.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it across the world, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Luton vs Man City lineups, team news

Albert Sambi Lokonga was ineligible against parent club Arsenal in midweek but is fit for the first time since February and could feature, although City loanee Issa Kabore is unavailable for the same reason.

Tom Lockyer (back) and Marvelous Nakamba (knee) are each pushing for a return after being recently sidelined. Cauley Woodrow (calf) is a doubt, while Mads Andersen (hamstring), Reece Burke (thigh) and Dan Potts (ankle) are all out.

Luton projected lineup (3-4-3, right to left): Kaminski (GK) — Bell, Osho, Mengi — Ogbene, Barkley, Mpanzu, Doughty — Townsend, Adebayo, Morris.

Rodri and Jack Grealish each missed out through suspension at Villa Park and are highly likely to come straight back into the starting XI

Jeremy Doku missed out due to a thigh injury versus Villa and will be assessed. His international teammate Kevin De Bruyne has stepped up his recovery from hamstring surgery but is not yet ready to return to action.

Man City projected lineup (3-2-4-1, right to left): Ederson (GK) — Walker, Dias, Ake — Stones, Rodri — Foden, Silva, Alvarez, Grealish — Haaland.

Luton vs Man City prediction

Luton’s capacity to cause damage in transition, use pace in behind high defensive lines and their 3-4-3 set-up all feel like red flags for a City team that will enter a white-hot Kenilworth Road atmosphere under pressure to turn their slump around.

Expect Guardiola’s side to suffer a few dicey moments, but the returns of Rodri and Grealish and the knock-on effect of John Stones, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden being able to revert to positions in which they have thrived lately feels like it should be key.

After weathering an early storm, City should start to look a little bit more like the treble-winning version and their superior quality will tell.

Prediction: Luton 1-3 Man City
