Where to watch Aston Villa vs Arsenal live stream, TV channel, lineups, prediction for Premier League match

Arsenal face a major test of their Premier League title credentials as Mikel Arteta’s side head to Aston Villa this weekend.

The Gunners snatched a dramatic late 4-3 win away at Luton Town in midweek — as Declan Rice’s header sealed victory — but Villa followed that up with a superb 1-0 win over defending champions Manchester City.

Arteta’s team currently have a four-point lead at the top of the table, ahead of second place Liverpool, but Aston Villa have won all seven of their home Premier League matches so far in 2023/24.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it across the world, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal lineups, team news

Unai Emery has not flagged up any new injuries following Villa’s impressive home win over City.

Bertrand Traore, Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia are all still sidelined for the home team and Emery could stick with an unchanged line up.

Aston Villa projected lineup (4-5-1, right to left): Martinez (GK) — Konsa, Carlos, Torres, Digne — Bailey, Kamara, Tielemans, Luiz, McGinn — Watkins.

Arteta’s own injury list is also unchanged from the win at Luton but he will be forced to watch from the stands at Villa Park due to a one-game touchline ban.

David Raya is expected to be given a vote of confidence by Arteta  — despite being criticised for his performance at Kenilworth Road  — and Oleksandr Zinchenko is in line to start at left-back ahead of Jakub Kiwior.

Arsenal projected lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Raya (GK) — White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko — Odegaard, Rice, Havertz — Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal prediction

This game is the standout feature on the Premier League weekend schedule as Emery faces his old team at Villa Park.

Emery vs. Arteta will be a Basque battle in Birmingham, with the visitors under pressure to seize the initiative and open up a bigger title lead over Manchester City, Liverpool and Villa.

However, Emery has turned Villa Park into a fortress this season, with Liverpool the only other Premier League side with a 100% home winning record.

Prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Arsenal
