UFC 295 live fight updates, results, highlights from Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex Pereira

Jiri Prochazka looks to win back a title he never lost, while Alex Pereira can make history with another win inside Madison Square Garden. Who will walk out of the “The World’s Most Famous Arena” as the UFC light heavyweight champion? We’ll find out at UFC 295 on November 11.

Prochazka vs. Pereira is the latest fight to attempt to secure order in the light heavyweight division. Since Jon Jones relinquished the belt in 2020, Jan Blachowicz has won the title but lost it against Glover Teixeira, who lost to Prochazka, who had to drop the belt after suffering an injury. Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev fought to a draw for the vacant belt, and Jamahal Hill, the recent belt holder, had to vacate after suffering an Achilles tendon rupture.

Now Prochazka looks to win the title back against a division newcomer in Pereira, who won the UFC middleweight title at UFC 281 in MSG.

The aforementioned Jones was supposed to defend the UFC heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic in the main event. However, due to an injury, Jones is off the card.

The co-main event sees Tom Aspinall vs. Sergei Pavlovich for the interim UFC heavyweight title. Two of the top contenders in the heavyweight division, Aspinall and Pavlovich are ready to call themselves champion and secure a future fight against the winner of an eventual Jones-Miocic contest.
