Rangers fans have waited 61 years to watch a parade celebrate a World Series title. They’re finally going to get one.

Texas won the 2023 World Series, snapping the longest title-less drought to start a franchise in MLB history by beating the Diamondbacks in five games.

The players and coaches celebrated Wednesday night with champagne in the locker room of Chase Field. But the party is only just beginning. It won’t be long until the Rangers take the party to the streets to celebrate the championship with the fans that have cheered them on along the way.

When is the Rangers’ World Series parade?

Rangers fans have waited six decades to celebrate a World Series. The team isn’t going to make them wait many more days before celebrating.

According to WFAA’s Cynthia Izaguirre, Arlington mayor Jim Ross is planning for the parade to be held on Friday in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Rangers.

Rangers World Series parade route

The parade for the Rangers will begin just outside the stadium on Cowboys Way, just behind Lot A, according to reported plans from the Fort Worth Star Telegram’s Bud Kennedy. It will then go right at AT&T Way, march past the Cowboys’ stadium and head all the way down to Nolan Ryan Expressway. 

There, they will walk over to Choctaw Stadium and make a right onto Ballpark Way and take that down to Stadium Drive. The parade will then end when it makes a right and ends in front of the stadium.

What is the weather for the Rangers World Series parade?

It’s going to be a perfect day for a parade in Arlington. The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with a high near 69 degrees on Friday, wind up to 20 mph.

MLB Network traditionally always carries coverage of the World Series parade, though official broadcast plans have not been announced. Fans hoping to watch it without a cable subscription can find MLB Network on Fubo, which offers a free trial.
