“We are thrilled to announce the 2023 PFL World Championship is coming to the nation’s capital, at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. to host the richest night in MMA on Friday, November 24,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “The PFL World Championship presented by our great partners at CELSIUS®, will showcase the greatest athletes in the world and bring the best MMA action to the more than 650 million fans around the world.”

Last season’s lightweight champion, Larissa Pacheco, returns to the finals, this time at featherweight. She faces Marina Mokhnatkina. Pacheco beat Julia Budd, Amber Leibrock, and Olena Kolesnyk to advance. Mokhnatkina beat Yoko Higashi, Evelyn Martins, and Leibrock.

Speaking of former champions, Sadibou Sy returns to the finals. Last season’s winner faces Magomed Magomedkerimov in a welterweight bout. Sy beat Jarrah Al-Silawi, Shane Mitchell, and Carlos Miranda to advance. Magomedkerimov beat Ben Egli, David Zawada, and Solomon Renfro.
