OLD TRAFFORD, MANCHESTER — Manchester United welcome Bournemouth to the Theatre of Dreams where they look to build on their gutsy 2-1 victory over Chelsea in midweek.

Erik ten Hag has been under pressure in recent weeks yet still remains in the top-four hunt and just three points behind the reigning champions, Manchester City.

Man United vs Bournemouth live updates, highlights from Premier League

HT: It’s been a rather lethargic performance from the hosts ever since the Cherries took the lead and Iraola’s got his team in control.

42nd minute: Garnacho has been down for a few minutes now as he appears to be suffering with a jaw problem.

39th minute: DENIED BY THE POST! It’s Solanke again who could have doubled his lead, he fakes a shot to beat Maguire before aiming for the far post. The Cherries striker beats Onana but cannot get the better of the woodwork.

38th minute: Iraolai is instructing his side to take their time with set-pieces when they win them. There’s still a lot of time left…

35th minute: Bournemouth break at pace but Tavernier blasts his strike well over the bar.

32nd minute: Antony does brilliantly to beat his man before being brought down cynically. Somehow, the referee waves play on. Ten Hag turned around in disgust.

27th minute: Tavernier is booked for time-wasting before the half-hour mark. Embarrassing.

24th minute: Bournemouth have the ball in the back of the net but the linesman has his flag up. It’s the goalscorer Solanke who was offside.

22nd minute: United appear to be lacking inspiration going forward and that’s down to Bournemouth’s commitment to holding onto their lead. Andoni Iraola’s men are superbly organised at the back.

15th minute: Tavernier is allowed to drift into United’s box and cuts onto his right before firing straight at Onana. The Cherries are looking organised at the back and dangerous in attack.

8th minute: A chance for United to equalise as Reguilon’s deep cross is met by Maguire’s head but Neto tips it over the bar for a United corner which goes to waste.

5th minute: GOAL! 0-1! Solanke gives Bournemouth the lead. It’s a cute little flick between the legs of Maguire and beats Onana. The Cherries take full advantage of United trying to play out the back.

2nd minute: Bournemouth are denied an early penalty by VAR. Solanke beat Onana to a poor back pass by Shaw but the Cherries forward lost his balance.

1st minute: Bournemouth kick us off.

15 mins until kickoff: It is pouring at Old Trafford. The players have just finished their warm-ups and have headed down the tunnel. Kickoff is next!

30 mins until kickoff: Bournemouth’s Luis Sinisterra is only on the bench for the visitors this afternoon despite being involved in four goals in his last five Premier League starts.

1 hour until kickoff: Team news is in! Anthony Martial comes in for Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford is only fit enough for the bench.

1 hour 30 mins until kickoff: Bournemouth have won their last two away league games, with victories coming against Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.

2 hours until kickoff: Since the start of October, only Arsenal have won more Premier League points than Manchester United. Can they build on this momentum this afternoon?
