Having failed to reestablish their lead atop the Premier League table midweek, Arsenal take another trip across London on Sunday as they visit Fulham hoping to right the ship.
The Gunners absolutely pummeled West Ham at home on Thursday but slumped to a 2-0 defeat as they conceded a pair of soft goals and came up empty with their handful of chances. It left Arsenal two points back of Liverpool in the Premier League table, with their game in hand now evaporated.
Fulham have dealt with struggles of their own, as the Whites have been blanketed in front of goal through much of December. They have lost three consecutive games without scoring a goal since winning back-to-back 5-0 matches against Nottingham Forest and West Ham.
With festive form on the line amid a heavy run of matches shoved into a short time span, the two London sides lock horns with three valuable points on the line.
Fulham vs Arsenal prediction, odds
- Moneyline lean: Arsenal (-180)
- Score prediction: Fulham 0-2 Arsenal
Fulham had precious little attacking presence last time out as they were thoroughly thumped by a surging Bournemouth side. Without Willian or Raul Jimenez, they are a shell of themselves in the final third.
Jimenez will at least return for this game, but with Willian’s fitness still uncertain, the Cottagers will likely be in the same boat again here. Alex Iwobi has pulled the strings in the meantime and has done so impressively, but without help he’ll be no match against the Gunners’ back line, and Fulham will be destined for defeat.

Fulham have lost all sight of goal in recent weeks, failing to hit the back of the net in three straight matches following their 5-0 explosion against West Ham. The attack has had not bite whatsoever, putting together just 2.44 xG in those games, 1.42 of which came without profit against Burnley.
Against an Arsenal defence that stands tall as the second best in the Premier League, there’s very little hope of that changing. The Gunners conceded a calamitous goal against West Ham last time out, but they remain one of the most suffocating sides in the English top flight.
Fulham have been blanked by Arsenal twice in their past five meetings, and even in their most recent 2-2 draw, Marco Silva’s team scored their two goals on just three shots on target worth 0.56 xG. With Andreas Pereira struggling and other important figures out injured, the struggles show no signs of stopping.
Fulham vs Arsenal prop bet
- Pick: Bukayo Saka 2+ shots on target
- Odds: +270 (FanDuel)
Last season, Fulham conceded the most expected goals in the Premier League, but Bernd Leno’s heroics papered over that deficiency. This season, they are in the same boat, and they will be without an injured Tim Ream at the back.
Fulham have conceded 248 shots through 19 games this year, good for 10th in the league, but 107 of those have been on target, third-worst. Teams have been able to carve Fulham apart and pick their spots to trouble Leno, who continues to do well in net.
In the last meeting between these teams, Bukayo Saka got two shots on frame and put one in the net, and he was prolific against West Ham last time out as well with three shots on target out of a whopping seven efforts. Saka hasn’t scored in five league matches, but with Gabriel Jesus continuing to struggle in front of goal, the England international will be a key component for the Gunners in this match.
